How it works

UV MATT/GLOSS (INK DUCT)

First process: In preparation of the following coating with UV varnishes, a water based primer was applied out of the coating unit due to the use of conventional printing inks.

  • Anilox roller: 100 lines, 11 cm3/m2 hexagonal

 

Second process: Out of the coating unit, a UV based gloss coating was used full area.

  • Anilox roller: 80 lines, 17 cm3/m2 tri-helical

Third process: This step was followed by the partial application of our UV based matt coating (octopus left blank). As the processing took place via the ink duct, no coating plate was required. The result: a high gloss octopus on a matt background.

Octopus

The octopus is characterized by a very special fact. This animal owns three hearts. While two of them are only responsible for the long arms, the other heart cares for the rest of the body. With a life expectancy of two to three years, the octopus is able to adapt to its environment in terms of colour and to create its own light by means of smallest illuminating bacteria on the body undersite. Also interesting: The octopus is capable of learning; however, this animal also forgets very fast.
